Special Interest

Dr. Ivorie Coleman is a modern physician with traditional values. She believes in a whole-person approach to wellness, understanding that patient health encompasses more than delivering a diagnosis and prescribing treatment. To achieve optimum results, Dr. Coleman delves beyond physical symptoms to examine a patient’s environment, emotional state, and mental acuity in order to develop an individualized treatment plan that addresses overall wellness.

As a graduate of several prestigious university programs, Dr. Coleman has dedicated more than fifteen years to the study of medicine, and has developed a comprehensive understanding of the healthcare industry. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Community Health and Chemistry from Hofstra University in New York, followed by a Master’s in Business Administration (Health Administration and Policy) from Loma Linda University in California.

After graduation, Dr. Coleman pursued a period of practical application, learning firsthand the intricacies of the healthcare system. Ultimately she felt called to patient care, and received her Doctor of Medicine degree from the University of Arizona College of Medicine, where she also completed her residency in Internal Medicine. Concurrent with her physician studies, Dr. Coleman became a Research Scholar at the renowned Mayo Clinic, with her research funded by the National Institutes of Health.

As an Internal Medicine physician, Dr. Coleman has been trained to evaluate and treat patients, including preventive healthcare, as well as the management of chronic and complex conditions. She believes this is accomplished most effectively when the physician approaches the patient as a whole person, and treats the patient from that perspective. Dr. Coleman’s goal is to build long-lasting relationships with patients and their families, working together to create an environment of wellness.
